If you have been looking for a fast little Cone 6 test kiln that runs on Standard household voltage, look no further. The 3 button controller may look simple, but it has nearly all the programming capability of the KilnMaster controller including Ramp and Hold and ConeFire Mode. Also great for fusing glass, PMC Clay, and anything else small. The FireBox8x6 is 6" deep rather than 4.5" deep like the FireBox8. The Firebox8 is rated to Cone 10 and the FireBox8x6 is rated to Cone 6.

Part of the New 22” Series, the KM1222-3 was designed to specifically meet the needs of the vertically challenged Potter or Teacher that needs a kiln short enough for them to easily load, yet large enough to meet the volume needs of a busy studio or classroom. At 22” deep it has a chamber that is 4.5” taller than its predecessor, the KM1218-3. This makes it possible to fire an 18” tall vase with all the proper clearances. About the Skutt KM1627 Low Fire

POWER - DURABILITY - EASE.

The Skutt Oval was designed with 3 main objectives in mind: make it powerful enough to handle heavy loads, make it durable enough to withstand the rigorous demands of high volume production and make it easy to operate and maintain.

Powerful - Although the low fire version of the KM1627 kiln only fires to Cone 1, it has plenty of power to fire dense loads and is perfect for firing earthenware in heavy production enviroments. The lower temperature rating on this kiln is a result of the lower amperage requirements. The lower amperage requirements enable this kiln to be installed on electrical systems that will not support the more powerful KM1627 Cone 10 kiln.

Durability - Due to their enormous spans oval kilns have a history of cracking lids and slabs. Skutt solved this problem by introducing the first fiber lid oval kiln with a fiber insert in the base. The electrical components and wiring are industrial quality to minimize downtime and boost performance.

Ease - The light fiber lid coupled with our innovative lid brace design make opening and closing the kiln a one handed operation. The touchpad has been moved higher for easy access to programming. Like all Skutt kilns the new ovals are sectional making them easy to move, repair and disassemble for loading large pieces.
