Porcelain insulators are used to isolate the element from the metail body of the kiln. Skutt elements come with one spare porcelain insulator. Please note, the color of element connectors varies from a bright white to a yellow/gray. The color does not affect the performance in any way and we have no control over the color of insulators that ship.

Screw on connectors were also used on some older model PK kilns. The small element connector fits up to a twisted 14gauge wire and the large connector fits twisted 13guage element pigtails.

Crimp on connectors are used to connect the feeder wires to the element pigtails. If you buy new Skutt elements you will get two crimp on connectors with each element (except PK elements). Made of Nickel with a guide hole in the top of the crimp so you can ensure pigtails and wire are fully inserted before cimping.

Straight pins are used to hold elements in their channels. When you buy new Skutt elements you will receive new pins, but if you have lost pins or have broken brick bricks and need additional pins to hold your elements in place these are the same Skutt pins you get with a new element.
