| The Gleco Trap is an innovative, inexpensive solution to messy, hard-to-use sink traps. The Gleco Trap provides you with an economical plumbing trap that is easily installed and maintained. The Gleco Trap is connected below the sink and collects solids in a bottle. When the solids reach the fill line on the bottle, the excess water in trap is drained through a valve, the bottle is exchanged with a replacement bottle, the valve shut and the trap is back in service. Bottle exchange is rapid and done without the need of tools (less than 2 minutes!). Most of all, there is no mess and minimal chance of water spillage. | Most household and commercial sinks are equipped with U-shaped plumbing traps, commonly known as p-traps. Located beneath sinks in kitchens and bathrooms, the devices trap water to prevent gases from entering the residential and commercial buildings. For sinks servicing medical and optical offices, labs, ceramic studios and similar applications involving a concentration of solids, or loss of valuables down the drain, The Gleco Trap has proven to be very successful, selling nearly 20,000 in the first 6 short years it was produced, and that figure has grown exponentially since 2006. To be economical and efficient, the maintenance on the plumbing trap must be easily and quickly performed. Current state-of-the-art equipment, however, did not offer a solution. John Gleason had been employed in the plumbing business for 16 years and serviced many complicated, hard-to-use sink traps. After hundreds of hours of research and dedication, he was issued U.S. Patent # 6,049,922 on April 18, 2000, entitled "Solid Sediment Retainment Plumbing Trap," more commonly known as The Gleco Trap. DETERMINE YOUR SIZE - Measure First: The Gleco Trap Package is available in three sizes - the GT64, which includes two 64 ounce bottles, the GT43, which includes two 43 ounce bottles, and the GT19, which includes two 19 ounce bottles and a 32 ounce bottle (for draining). When the bottle on the Gleco Trap is full, you have two options. Most people dispose of the sediment and reuse the bottle. Other people may choose to dispose of the sediment and the bottle and purchase replacement bottles. * The choice depends on your particular situation. If you are unsure if you will need extra bottles, don't hesitate to call us to describe your unique situation and we can help you figure out the best solution. * If you work with plaster or other substances that harden even in water, it is necessary to dispose of the bottle. |

| Five different sizes of interchangeable bottles are available by the case. Any of the sizes will work on The Gleco Trap. Your only limitations are the space available underneath your sink. The configuration under your sink may not be exactly as shown in the sketch, but in almost all cases you will find a pipe coming down from your sink that goes into a U-shaped joint called a P Trap. After the P Trap, an elbow joint will typically turn the pipe so it runs parallel to the floor and connects to the wall. Measure the space between the floor and the center of the horizontal pipe right after the P Trap. This measurement will tell you how much space is available for The Gleco Trap, as shown in the table below. | ||
